I just got engaged! When should I schedule my first fitting?
We recommend contacting us 3-4 months before your wedding date to schedule your first bridal fitting in advance to allow for flexibility.
What if I’m getting married in less than 4 months?
We do our absolute best to accommodate all of our brides. Contact us and we will evaluate your situation.
How many fittings will there be?
An average bride can expect three fittings.
What do I need to bring to my first fitting?
Shoes and undergarments are required for all fittings.
When can I pick up my dress?
2-3 weeks prior to the date needed. If you are doing bridal portraits, please let us know when scheduling your first fitting.
Do you steam wedding dresses?
Yes, we offer this as an additional service.
What about the rest of the wedding party?
Yes! We can alter dresses for your bridal party. We specialize in bridesmaids, mother of the bride, mother of the groom, and flower girls.
Do you work with vintage gowns/wedding dress restoration?
Yes - we work with our clients to help restore the integrity of the gown based on the era and condition of the dress.
Do you charge for a fitting fee/consultation
We charge a $200 consultation fee that is required to be paid upon booking your appointment. This will be applied towards the total of your wedding dress alterations.
Do you have to have an appointment for wedding dress alterations?
Yes, we do require an appointment. We do bridal appointments on Tuesdays and Wednesdays between 9am-5pm.
Can I get a quote for my gown?
Quotes are given upon request at your first fitting.
Do you do homecoming/prom alterations? What is the turnaround time?
Yes. Depending on the season/time of year you can expect your dress to be returned to you in 2-3 weeks. Rush is available for an additional fee.
What about pageant dresses?
Yes. These gowns require more time depending on the level of alterations needed and material of the dress.
Do you make dresses?
No, we do not offer custom dressmaking services.
Help! I need someone to hem my clothes! Do you do general alterations?
Yes! We hem pants, jeans, shirts, dresses. Contact us for more information.
Do you sell fabric?
We do sell fabric, but we do not keep it in stock. We have a list of vendors that we work with - contact us for more information.
Do you make roman shades?
Yes
Do you do upholstery work?
We do light upholstery - benches, dining room chairs, seats, any small pieces. Feel free to text us a picture or contact us with the piece you have in mind.
Do you make slipcovers?
Small pieces such as dining room chairs, ottomans, benches. We do not make slip covers for large pieces like sofa, love seats, club chairs.
